The Tadiran TL2150 is a 3.6 Volt 950 mAh 1/2 AA high-current inorganic Lithium computer clock PRAM battery for Apple Macintosh and IBM-compatible desktop computers.  It is also used for memory backup in industrial automation system PLC products by Modicon and Allen-Bradley.  The Apple part number is 922-1262. The Tadiran TL2150 (and later version TL5902) is the specified replacement part for Apple Macintosh as it provides long-life plus exceptional pulse-current capability for the keyboard SoftKey circuit.

The following Macintosh desktop computers use the Tadiran TL2150 for PRAM backup:

iMac,Macintosh G3, G4, Power Macintosh, 6100, 6400, 6500, 7100, 7200, 7300, 7600, 8100, 8500, 8600, 9600, Macintosh Workgroup Server plus the Motorola StarMax, UMax and Power Computing PowerPC clones.

Note: The TL2150 can replace the TL5101. It should  be used in Macintosh computers that utilize the "SoftKey" circuit because of the higher pulse-current rating.

The Tadiran TL5101 is 3.6 Volt 950 mAh 1/2 AA high-current inorganic Lithium PRAM battery used in Apple Macintosh and IBM-compatible desktop computers. It is a replacement for the SAFT 14250, NewerTech 14250, et al.

The Apple part number is 742-001. The Tadiran TL2150 (and later version TL5902) is the specified replacement part for Apple Macintosh systems including the Centris, Macintosh II, LC, SE, Server, Power Macintosh 6100 and Performa plus Mac clones manufactured by Motorola and Power Computing.
