DS12887A - Maxim Dallas Semiconductor 24 Pin DIP RTC Module w/CMOS Reset

The Maxim Dallas Semiconductor DS12887A is 24-pin DIP Real-Time Clock (RTC) plus CMOS RAM memory with a RAM-clear function and onboard battery. Designed to be a direct replacement for the DS1287A, BQ3287AMT, TH6887A, OEC12C887A, HT12888A, et al. The DS12887A is identical in form fit and function to the DS1287A and has an additional 64 bytes of general-purpose RAM. Many types of IBM desktop systems including those made by Hewlett-Packard, Compaq and Dell use the Maxim Dallas Semiconductor DS12887A RTC module to maintain the computer clock and CMOS RAM information.

NOTE: The DS12887A cannot replace the DS1287A in 80286-based computers. These devices cannot correct date problems in IBM MicroChannel computers.

This product is an ESD-class device. It cannot be returned for exchange or credit if the package has been opened.
